The new purpose built Mere Side Centre provides a wonderful combination of an attractive, contemporary and eco friendly building. It has been stylishly furnished and equipped to provide the perfect venue for conferences and corporate hospitality events. It is less than a mile away from Halifax Town Centre and within easy reach of the major conurbations of West Yorkshire and East Lancashire.

It is located in a beautiful and historic parkland setting, overlooking the “Mere” and surrounded by a range of facilities and attractions to enhance your visit. These include the historic Shibden Hall a Grade 11* listed timber framed building formerly the home of the Lister family and now a folk museum. The Hall and the Barn have undergone a complete yet sympathetic restoration programme which has retained the unique “Shibden Experience” walking into rooms which have been set out as though someone had just stepped out for a moment.

Other attractions which can be incorporated into team building packages include the boating lake, nature trails, orienteering course, miniature railway and a nine hole pitch and putt course

Delegates will have access to free high speed wireless internet access and a range of audio visual and multimedia resources will be available from photo copying and faxing to multi media projectors and screens.

The Grange Function Suite can accommodate over fifty delegates in a board room setting or equivalent alternative seating arrangements, and one hundred in a theatre setting. The practical multifunctional layout of the building enable this capacity to be doubled for evening events or by special arrangement for some dates between October and March on week days.

We offer a wide range of menu options for you to choose from and again will tailor these to your specific requirements taking in to account any special dietary needs. In addition to the buffet options you can opt for choices from the menu in the adjacent café area, or have a picnic in the park. For corporate hospitality events our chefs will prepare bespoke menus to ensure your clients enjoyment.

Flexibility is key to our approach and this applies to our hiring tariffs and timing arrangements, we do not believe in one size suits all and do not insist on clients purchasing an all day package with lunch afternoon tea etc. We are happy to assemble a package that suits your requirements, be it a morning session with or without lunch, to a full day with team building packages.
